Water under the Tower Bridge
Coming from a small town in the foothills of California, Sacramento was the closest major city to the artist and a major influence in her early life. “Water Under The Tower Bridge” highlights the experience of old Sacramento’s historic riverfront district.
The comingling of old and new creates a unique space where modern cars fit on cobblestone roads, penny candy stores belong next to modern restaurants, and the old Tower Bridge complements the newer Ziggurat office building.
With such a contrast to the nearby center of Sacramento, the historic riverfront district provided many quiet corners for the artist to sketch out new ideas in her notebook.
