The Tour de Cluck is happening this month in Davis, CA, the town that calls itself the “Bicycle Capital of the U.S.”! Why am I posting about this? Because I have decided to participate by creating a piece for their art auction that happens on May 25th! This is the first time that I’ve ever been presented with the opportunity to seriously draw a bicycle or chickens and decided it was an eggcellent challenge. It was fun to take a little breather from the current series and do something completely different.

I have been working on a series of line drawings that I call “Growing”. This series has given me the opportunity to reflect on how I’ve been growing as an artist. When I started piece #11 (Awakening) in the series, I decided to start video tape myself drawing these pieces. This video blog entry will grow as I finish the pieces. I hope you enjoy seeing how these pieces are created.
